College Life
So I realize that I haven't posted a post on my blog for quite some time, and for that I am sorry. Well, I am now here at BYU. To start off my college life, I attended FOL (aka: Foundations of Leadership). It was great fun. I made a lot of new friends, and I frequently see them on campus (which makes me overly-joyed because I feel like I actually know somebody and have friends, and I'm not alone in the crowd of 32,995 students here at BYU). The week after FOL, I started classes. The classes I am taking this semester are American Heritage, Jazz Dance, Country Western & Square Dance, Biology, English, ISYS 100 (aka: powerpoint), ISYS 101 (aka: excel), and Book of Mormon. I really like my Country Western dance class. It reminds me a lot of home (due to the fact that it's country western dancing, and back home we pretty much live on a farm, and every October we had that barn dance for mutual). My Jazz dance class is also great fun, because Amy is in that class. It's fun to see her every Monday and Wednesday. I believe that my Jazz dance class is also helping to strengthen the muscles in my knee (which I got surgery on 11 months ago), which is also a plus. I have become a bit more used to the idea of starting classes off with a prayer, but it is still kinda weird to me. The first day of classes, I walked into my first class (which was Jazz Dance) and at the beginning of the class my teacher said that we were going to start off with a prayer. It kinda took me by suprise, cause I wasn't used to starting classes with a prayer. Brooklyn and I also attended 'World Of Dance,' BYU's dance department performance, and they started that off with a prayer too. That also took me a little by suprise. I love that we start classes and other things on campus with prayers, but it is still going to take a little more getting used to. Well, I better leave this post and not write anymore til a later date in time, due to the fact that I have to leave the computer lab in which I am using a computer to write this in under 10 minutes to go to English, and I should've been doing some research before I go to class.
